Hi

I’m so glad you’re here.

Here is a snippet of the inspiration behind the name of this website. Surrender is the sweetest and safest place you can be.

After serving in education for 12 years, my motherhood journey began, and I stepped away from education. I entered my second career in vocational ministry when my oldest was 18 months old. My youngest would follow 17 months later. This was a season of everything new and changing with a rapid pace.

On the one hand you have precious growing changing children. Their clothes change every few months, along with sleeping routines, eating preferences and toy interests. Your shirt and pants are regular landing pad for anything that exits the mouth and nose.

Then on the other hand, you have the shepherding of leaders and planning of ministry to feed the women of the church.

The timing of the children’s illness and needs never coordinated with a restful night of sleep, or deadlines and demands of ministry preparation. Those precious beings, both the children and the women are being shaped, formed and prepared for life under your care in these years.

Talk about pressure to perform and achieve.

I learned the ropes of vocational ministry and motherhood simultaneously. Both are the hardest jobs I'll ever love. This journey thrust me into a vivd experience of the Lord's faitfulness and provision. I have learned that my days are not my own...even though I wrestle Him weekly for them.

This journey was a perfect set up by God for His word to come alive in my life. The wisdom I had already learned carried me through the new lessons I was learning. These verses; Prov. 16:9 and 2 Corthians 12:9, highlight the treasure I found in surrendering to Him. I have learned how much He orders my steps and how He is strong in my weakness. I have learned to let Him show me every step to take in my day. There have been times many, many times where anything that was accomplished was not of my own strength and skills, but His.

It’s this journey that led to the title…. Let go and let Him.

Come along with me, and find the sweetest and safest place to be. In Christ.
